0065 PUPPY LOVE - FOR POTENTIAL OR NEW PET OWNERS
A new puppy! You may imagine wet kisses and weekends of playing fetch, but adopting a dog is a big decision. For over 20 years, Barry Lipson through his consulting practice, has given people the benefit of knowing in advance what you
don't want to learn later, helping potenial pet owners make the right decisions about the best breeds to fit in a family, when and why to adopt, where to find your new addition, and how to help a dog adapt to their new pack. If you already have a
dog, you'll learn how to improve general obedience, address those not-so-desirable habits and integrate new additions into the pack.
Our workshop will:
o Answer important questions: Should we get a dog...really? W
o Prepare everyone for changes in routines and lifestyle.
o Basics of canine behavior, body language, comprehension and more.
o Crate training, house training, boundaries.
o Working with puppies in those important first 4 to 5 months.
o Socialization and the pack life.
o Training the humans to train the dog
o Utilizing the connections between human and canine behavior
o Different approaches to training
o Behavior modificatino and problem solving
o Use focused, practical, positive approach.
We'll talk about optimizing early experiences to shape behavior later on. Conversely, we'll discuss how our dogs' past can help us make positive modifications to current behavior. Barry Lipson 20 years consulting for his own business
